Welschriesling – a variety from Baláž Winery

Every wine region has “its own” grape variety—one that has proven itself over time and makes the best use of the soil and local climate. Today, this is sometimes referred to as a “signature variety.” And here, it’s Vlašák.

Our calcareous soils produce wines prized for their distinctive mineral character and linden blossom aroma. Browse our e-shop and you can sample this local treasure in various forms—from different vineyards and vintages, aged in different containers, and also in the popular Dunajovské Vlašáky collection.

We currently offer Welschriesling in all of our product lines, as well as in bag-in-box packaging.

And some great news to wrap things up. This year, we became the proud owners of a vineyard in Dolní Dunajovice, in the Plotny vineyard district, which features a 1968 planting of Welschriesling!! So we have something to look forward to together.
