Harvesting grapes for the new sparkling wine

The story of the new sect begins. We are currently harvesting Chardonnay and Ruland Blanc for sparkling wine.

In 2020, after the experience with our sparkling wines and their success on the market, we decided to venture into traditional, bottle-fermented sparkling wine.

We said that we would only produce sparkling wine in vintages that would allow us to obtain the best quality raw material. And while in 2020 we harvested the grapes on 2 October, this year they were harvested at the end of August. We have the first fermentation and subsequent training for the second fermentation, which is already taking place in the sparkling room. We have work to do and you have three years to look forward to.

Shorten the wait with sparkling wine from 2020. We've bottled 1,055 bottles of elegant vintage extra brut sparkling wine, with delicate aromas of citrus zest, fruit, marzipan and butterscotch. On the palate, you'll be charmed by the fresh but non-aggressive acidity and the slightly salty touch (so characteristic of our wines thanks to the subsoil that was once the sea). It was also appreciated by the jury of the Prague Wine Trophy, where it won Prague Gold.

For the lovers of numbers: 80% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Blanc, residual sugar 3.0 g/l, acid 5.0 g/l, alcohol 11%, 20 years old vineyard, harvested on October 2, 2020, bottled on March 25, 2023.

And an important equation in conclusion: 1,055 bottles = 1,055 joyful meetings, celebrations, family dinners, whimsical breakfasts and many times more smiles and joy.

Cheers, friends! With a glass of our sparkling wine, which you can order here or buy at our wine shop retailers.
