FIRST MEDALS THIS YEAR

Time is flying by like crazy, as the lyrics of Karel Gott’s song go, and we have the results of this year’s first round of the Prague Wine Trophy for you. We haven’t even had time to savor all the glory of last year’s competition, which concluded with a awards ceremony this past March—and on top of all those medals, we also won the title of Best Winery 2024.

We believe you’ll be celebrating just as much as we are, because in this very first competition—where the varietal categories always include not only Moravian and Czech wines but also international ones—we’ve taken home six medals, and not just any medals. Three are the highest possible—Prague Premium Gold—and three are gold—Prague Gold.

Given that these awards are for some of your favorite varieties, you can expect these wines to sell out even faster than usual. The results are brand new, so the bottle labels—the little medals—are still on their way to us, but you can order the wines right now.

And now, the awards ceremony!

The Prague Premium Gold awards go to:

Irsai Oliver 2024, single-varietal cellar wine, dry, Zimní vrch - Baláž Winery

Kerner 2024, Late Harvest, Dry, Zimní vrch - Baláž Winery

Solaris 2024, Select Grapes, Semi-Sweet, Mlýnská - Baláž Winery

and Prague Gold are awarded:

Moravian Muscat 2024, single-varietal cabinet wine, dry, Zimní vrch - Baláž Winery

Pinot Gris 2024, Late Harvest, Semi-Dry, Dunajovský kopec - Baláž Winery

Hibernal 2024, Late Harvest, Dry, Plotny - Baláž Winery

Here's to the winners and to you, our dear customers!
