Tannowitz wine selection

At the beginning of 2024, we will release the Tannowitz red wine series. For this range, we produce wines only in the best vintages, from the best grapes. Reduced harvesting, hand selection of grapes, barrique barrel aging, no filtration - these are the common characteristics for these exceptional, natural and artisanal wines. 

From the 2022 vintage, we poured Merlot and Rulan Blue in this series. Both wines were in Francois Freres barriques. We chose barrels with a gentle burn and this was their first use. The barrique casks have a standardised volume of 225l, hence the limited batch - we can only offer 300 bottles of each variety. 

The exclusive range also requires exceptional packaging, so you will find these wines not only in special bottles, but also with their own label. It reflects the utmost natural character of these wines - the departing fluff of dandelions reminds us that every other row in the vineyard is grassy and dotted with dandelions in summer. Tradition is also reflected in the name of this range, Tannowitz referring to the original name of our Dolní Dunajovice. 

Pinot Noir Barrique 2022, selection of grapes, dry, unfiltered, Winter Hill

The grapes for this wine are from the Zimní vrch vineyard from our Dolní Dunajovice. As with all the wines in this series, the grapes come from a reduced harvest, were hand-picked, the wine was aged in barrique barrel and was not filtered. Nature in a bottle, in its most natural and noble form. The grapes from the 12 year old vines were picked on October 13, 2022, the wine has been on the bottle since August 16, 2023 and we are putting it on sale in early 2024. ‍Merlot barrique 2022, grape selection, dry, unfiltered, Výsluní

The grapes are from a 22 year old planting from the Výsluní vineyard, the wine has been aged in barrique barrel and has been on the bottle since 16 August 2023. Merlot from the Tannowitz range brings you a beautiful garnet-coloured wine with flavours of dark chocolate and sweet notes of exotic spices. A wine that you can open right away, but is also suitable for archiving. More information about the wine in our e-shop.
