Success in the Prague Wine Trophy competition

We're really happy that you like our wines. That's the most important thing.

You are our most important judges. Nevertheless, it makes sense for us to participate in competitions that are prestigious, have a long history, and feature not only our wines but also those from abroad. The Prague Wine Trophy meets all these criteria. This competition is the largest international wine competition in the Czech Republic, and thanks to the professionalism and tireless efforts of its founder, Ing. Šárka Dušková, Dipl.WSET & Weinakademiker, it will celebrate its 17th edition in 2023. Wines are judged by variety in the competition, and entries come not only from Czech winemakers but also from international winemakers and importers of foreign wines. A medal from this competition is therefore a highly prestigious achievement in such a competitive field.

And here are our results from the first round (there will be three more rounds through September, with different varieties evaluated in each one).

Four of our wines won gold medals in this round:

Solaris, Select Grapes, 2022, Semi-Sweet

Irsai Oliver, premium varietal wine, 2022, semi-dry

Moravian Muscat, Quality Varietal Wine, 2022, Dry

Cabernet Moravia Rosé, Kabinett, 2022, dry

And there are four more Premium Gold, or "super gold," varieties:

Kerner, late harvest, 2022, dry

Sauvignon Gris, late harvest, 2022, dry

Hibernal, late harvest, 2022, semi-dry

Sylvánské Zelené, Reserve, 2022, dry

Of course, we’ll keep you updated on our results in all the upcoming rounds, and we’ll summarize the entire competition this fall—but you can never have too much good news. Plus, some of our best-selling products are among the medalists, so we’re showcasing them while they’re still available.
