Harvest 2023

The grape harvest marks the end of our hard, year-long work in the vineyard and the beginning of new work in the cellar. So for us, the harvest is actually the end and the beginning at the same time.

And how was the 2023 harvest? Compared to last year, the weather was more favourable and there was less rainfall. This means a smaller hectare yield for us, but higher quality as a result. We started this year's campaign on Tuesday 12 September 2023 with the Solaris harvest. This is the first one each year. Then came Rulanda Grey, Kerner, Muscat of Moravia and Müllerka, from which our customers could enjoy Young Wine. September was very warm and so we also had later varieties such as Riesling ripening earlier. The last of the white varieties we picked were Rýňák from Dunajovské hill and Veltlín from the vineyard line Pod Slunným vrchem. The finale of the harvest was, as every year, blue varieties - Frankovka, Rulanda blue and Nativa.
